This week, the flashback pick has been spinning nonstop on my turntable since I bought the vinyl version last weekend. "Burn Piano Island, Burn," the third album from the now defunct Blood Brothers is considered the breakthrough album for the band and it's easy to see why. Fans of metal, punk, emo, jazz, and straight up rock n' roll can find something buried in this 48 minute epic. For those unfamiliar with this band, take all the previous genres, throw them in a blender, mix in a ridiculous amount of caffeine and lyrics that make almost no sense and you have, "Burn Piano Island,Burn." It's fast, spastic, and perfect those times when you need to release stress or just go nuts for a little bit.
